Tea Temp Tea Thermometer (Wednesday, July 21, 2010)

I mostly drink white tea, so knowing the temperature of the water is important. This thermometer is small so it is easy to use and appears pretty accurate. When I'm home using a kettle, it is impossible to tell when it's nearing boiling, so this is a must for me...

The best! (Tuesday, June 01, 2010)

Thisi is the best thermometer that I have used. I like the fact that the case can be used as the handle. it is also very easy to read.

Simple, essential (Sunday, February 28, 2010)

This is such a simple and essential tool. Finally I know exact temperatures - and even can know the calibration on tea pots like IntelliTea. It might be nice to add some sort of string so when the thermometer falls into a pot of water, it is easy to retrieve it without fishing around with a fork.

I've always had trouble getting my water temp right for different teas, this is the best gadget I've come across - now I can really experience the true taste of loose leaf tea.

I was really excited about having a thermometer for my tea water, and this one is perfectly sufficient for the job, however -- I dropped in my teapot by accident, and it filled up with water. Still works, but I can barely see it because of the moisture. I would expect that an object meant to be used with water would be made to be at least water resistant, if not water proof. Also, it's very much smaller than I thought it would be. Overall -- it will measure the temperature of your water, which is why it got 3 stars. However, it is cheaply made and thoroughly unimpressive.
