I actually haven't tried this to drink yet. I use it in a potato soup recipe a tea friend gave me. Adds a nice smokey bacon flavor to the soup and I love it! As the weather gets cooler I might have to try it in my cup.
tasted to me like pine sap and fireplace ashes. yuck!
WORST TASTING TEA I HAVE EVER HAD. TASTES LIKE CREOSOTE MIXED WITH TURPENTINE AND CAMPFIRE ASHES. YUCK!
My very favorite tea, best served piping hot! This tea will comfort you with it's smoky flavour, and is also great for use as a marinade!
This tea evokes several memories for me. One is of a crisply cold winter evening, huddled around a late-night campfire of still-smoldering pine logs. The other is the rich earthy scent that rises up from the floor of Ecuador's Mindo cloudforest after an afternoon rain. You will love this tea or you will dislike this tea - but you will never be neutral about this tea.
Brilliant smokey flavour. I love this tea, but it is a peculiar taste that not everyone I have shared it with enjoys. |
