Nilgiri OrganicUser reviewsAverage customer review:
good morning/ breakfast tea with a nice strong flavor , great for breakfast
You know its a good tea when people from India love it. Simply perfect every time. Thanks Teasetc.
This organic tea has a nice pungent flavor/aroma. I like my teas strong so tend to steep it for 10 mins. I'd recommend this tea to people who like strong Indian teas.
Being from South India, I'm very selective when I buy teas. I decided to give this a try & wasn't disappointed. The taste is amazing, pungent ye smoth - just the way I remember it growing up. I'd definitely recommend it to those of you that are looking for organic black tea(s). Enjoy!!
First I often over-steep my tea (5 minutes or longer). This tea never got bitter or acid. It is smooth clean and fresh with and ever so slight( in the back of the throat) kinda sweet note. This is also one of the high caffeine teas so it can give that boost but with out the jitters!
didn't really like it
What can I say? I've been consuming Nilgiri organic for 8 years. It's my every morning tea. I love the crisp, smooth taste of this orgasmic black tea! chris vitello
GOOD IN THE MORNING
Years ago when we couldn't get anything much beyond the grocery store brands around here, I used to find a Twinings Nilgiri at a market in Atlanta, and I was heartbroken when it finally was discontinued. I wasn't then (and still am not)any kind of expert, but there was something about that Nilgiri teabag that stayed with me as my tastes evolved-how lovely to find a "real" Nilgiri that exceeds my expectations and my memories! Never crosses the line from full-flavored to bitter, which sometimes happens to me because I tend to overbrew. Smooth and rich, great in the morning. A great everyday tea.
This nilgiri is fast becoming a favorite. It is smooth, full bodies and lovely hot or iced. Can stand up to adding lemon, sugar, or honey. It's also organic.
Indian black tea is my favorite tea! This is a great everyday tea. Smooth and full flavored. Organic. What more could you want?
This is one of my favorites from Teas Etc. The taste is just as good as some of my favorite more expensive teas (golden monkey, bohea) but the price is perfect! Makes very good iced tea also.
This tea was one of my favorites out of the bunch that I ordered. It has a very pure, rich, and wholesome organic taste to it. I would recommend it to anyone.
My husband likes a nice straight forward black tea. This tea fits the bill. He drinks it every morning.
It is the perfect tea to start my day . I drink it every morning
I especially like this tea iced. No bitterness and the price is right.
Has an extremely mild coffee flavor and aroma but it borders on tasteless. Very disappointing.
i just ordered this one not too long ago and really enjoyed it. i've shared this with my friends. it has a really nice flavor to it as i am somewhat picky to my teas.
This tea continued to be tasty for hours without becoming bitter. The flavor was strong and bracing, and had a characteristic Indian edge.
The nilgiri makes a rich, non-acid, smooth iced tea, particularly when made using the cold brew method. I add some hibicus or rooibus to make the flavor even more interesting and also lower the overall caffeine content.
This is a great inexpensive tea. It's got lots of flavor and is not bitter. I drink my tea black and find I can enjoy this tea. I usually steep it for 3 to 4 mnutes. My husband, a milk and sugar man, also likes it very much. I often save the extra tea left in our teapot and turn it into iced tea for him. He loves it with sugar and lemon.
This is a great choice for someone who wants a strong cup of black tea without a bitter after taste. It's great iced, too!
Nilgiri Organic Tea has recently become one of my favorite teas. It has a full flavor and is extremely smooth. I will definitely be buying more.
This tea brews to a beautiful amber color and has a smooth slightly sweet flavor. Worth purchasing again.
I purchase nilgiri all the time but this new batch I couldn't seem to make a good cup of tea. I phoned Beth and she explained this new batch had more body and to try steeping the leaves for 4 minutes instead of my usual 5-6 min. It is delicious!! I'm so glad I called her, I wasted tea, should have called her right away!!She explained that each batch is different, never thought about that!
I'm a black tea drinker and I've searched high and low for a bold yet smooth cup. Nilgiri Organic is, hands down, my favourite tea. For a while, I was double brewing it: a common method of brewing once, pouring off the liquid to remove caffeine and bitterness and then brewing the plumped leaves again. One day I was in a rush so I skipped the double brew and was delighted to find the single brew produced an equally smooth and non-jittery cup of tea. I have been drinking a pot (the 3-cup BeeHouse teapot from Japan) of Nilgiri Organic every day for well over a year and I'm continuously impressed by its consistent nature. It's always smooth and full-bodied. It tastes like good black tea should taste. It also makes an excellent iced tea. I drink both hot and iced with local honey and a squeeze of fresh lemon but it is mellow enough to be had with nothing added. If you crave a rich, black tea without bitterness, Nilgiri Organic is a fabulous choice! |
