Has a nice, earthy, sweet, slightly smoky flavor – not campfire smoky like a lapsang but more someone-in-the-neighborhood-has-a-fire-going smoky. Relatively mild and smooth.There is a tiny hint of sharpness at the end of the sip but I’ve had some Keemuns that were pretty rough so I’m okay with that little bit.

I bought this as a sample along with their Ceylon OP and Assam Reserve. My goal was to discover the unique properties of each one so that I could identify them within blends. I recommend doing the same to discover the basis for so many blends. It has a deep rich earthy taste and gains a sweeter aspect in the second steep. Out of the three I enjoyed this one the most. I also suggest looking for a more experienced Keemun drinker for a more accurate star rating.

I received this as a sample and made a pot. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Will definitely be ordering more
