Rosy Earl Grey

This inspiring blend of Jasmine green tea, Earl Grey black tea and rose petals has become one of our most popular.

While I'd like to take all the credit for creating the blend, I can't. On a quest to find some consistency, a customer from NYC, Beverly, called with a request that I make up something with the combination of these ingredients. A conversation or two later our Rosy Earl Grey, (aka Beverly's Blend), was unveiled.

Aromatic with a smooth floral character Rosy Earl Grey is tasty hot or iced.

Rosy Earl Grey (Monday, April 13, 2015)

This is my favorite tea. I am an Earl Grey tea lover and this has become my go-to tea. Rosy Earl Grey is more delicate than regular Earl Grey. To me the roses add a very subtle but wonderful fragrance and flavor.

I didn't love this tea. I'm not a fan of rosewater, which is in a lot of Middle Eastern desserts, so this tea might have reminded me a little of that. The smell is lovely. There's a light perfume-y taste, which, I guess is typical of rose flavored products, but the undertone of the Earl Grey makes it tasty. If you enjoy rosewater in desserts, you'd probably love this tea.

A sophisticated blend enjoyed warm, and mild enough as a desert tea.

A very nice cup of tea with classic rose undertones.

Fun light playful tea (Tuesday, July 30, 2013)

This tea is light in color, due to the abundant rose petals and the jasmine green tea. It is very aromatic, largely reminiscent of your favorite rose back when roses had scents (or at least ones other than the florist's cooler). When sipped, the initial notes are of rose, but the green tea also shines through. The bergamot flavor that is characteristic of Earl Grey teas is present, but largely lost among the other flavors. I enjoy rose based teas, but tend to prefer them a little darker. For me, this was improved by mixing 50/50 with Teas Etc.'s Organic Earl Gray, but my wife loved it just as it was.

A rose by any other name... (Friday, May 17, 2013)

This is definitely my favorite black tea! Not only is the flavor rich and smooth, but the tantalizing hint of rose you get toward the end of the sip is simply marvelous. I definitely recommend it!

The Rosy Earl Grey (Monday, July 09, 2012)

This was my first time trying a real flowery tea and it was such a good experience...I just wish that the tea leaves were good for more than a couple of uses (I could use them about twice before I couldn't really have the same dominant 'rosy flavour').
