Wow!!! (Monday, May 13, 2013)
Reviewer: Sudesh

For its price, it does stand up to the test. I tried it with & without a sweetener. Both times the flavor was amazing. Recommended for anyone looking to try something a little unique.

Golden Monkey simply the best tea! (Monday, December 10, 2012)
Reviewer: Dallas

The name is exactly what it is; Golden Monkey Superior Organic. A long time ago I got both Teavana and teas etc Golden Monkey to see the difference; the difference is clear from the second you open the bag, teas etc Golden Monkey smells beautifully and makes a more beautiful brew in all respects. This tea has just the right level of boldness - roasted, honey peach - and caffeine, but it feels that there is something beyond the caffeine that is tickling my brain.

This is a family favorite: clear, earthy flavor and no bitterness whatsoever. Can't say I've noticed any caffeine jitters--just delicious.

Sweet and intoxicating. I don't know if I stored it wrong, but it seemed to get moldy after a while.

Organic Golden Monkey Superior (Wednesday, March 14, 2012)
Reviewer: Patti

This tea tastes great...I drink it with milk. I have to be careful as to what pot size I make for myself. I made a 8 cup pot the first time I bought it and WOW, talk about the caffeine jitters! So watch out-it packs a punch. You Starbucks folks with love it.

This is the smoothest of black style teas. no need to add sweetener it has a slight natural sweetness to the nose and taste. I can't say I would ever switch teas !

I can't start my day without this tea (Wednesday, September 14, 2011)
Reviewer: karen

I've tried other Golden Monkey tea, but none compare to this one. It's easy to brew, hard to oversteep, great for company, and tastes wonderful! Depending on leaf quantity and brew time it can be sweet and mellow, or bold with a sweet aftertaste. I love it!

this is a fantastic tea smooth and flavorful

Golden Monkey (Monday, July 11, 2011)
Reviewer: Michele

This was one of the free samples that I requested with a recent order. I am typically bad about trying them sticking with my old favorites. But yesterday I needed a pick me up and so I decided to live on the edge! I was pleasantly surprised at the smoothness of this combination and enjoyed it so much I brewed a second cup on the spot! Now I am adding this to my favorites list.

Excellent! (Wednesday, May 18, 2011)
Reviewer: Ryan

A black tea that's a lot like an oolong with a decent caffiene kick. Nice amber color, herbal/citrus aroma. Flavor is smooth, no astringency.

Bold, smooth and sometimes milky (Monday, May 31, 2010)
Reviewer: Amanda

The first steep is bold, smooth and stout – a great wake-up type tea. Honestly though, I look forward to the 2nd and 3rd steeps most on this one. I can get some serious milkiness from those steeps. Fantastic tea.

My Every Day Tea (Friday, April 02, 2010)

Smooth yet Strong (Saturday, February 27, 2010)
Reviewer: Elizabeth

Golden Monkey organic is easily my favorite tea. Not only is it extremely smooth, but also has just the right amount of caffeine to keep you awake throughout the day. Also, even if you allow the leaves to seep for a long while, the tea never becomes bitter. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

A new favorite (Friday, January 22, 2010)
Reviewer: Roger

Fragrant, flavorful, no bite. Savor this tea just by itself, or better yet, with a piece of chocolate.

Slightly Bitter (Thursday, January 14, 2010)
Reviewer: Sheri

This one was a good tea, but slightly bitter.. the rich golden color was nice though, and the tea was very robust.

Reviewer: Janice

Whenever I want a cup of black tea, this is my hands down favorite.

Best tea I've ever tasted (Tuesday, October 13, 2009)
Reviewer: Barbara

I cannot eat chocolate -- it gives me a migraine -- so I brew this tea really strong (4-5 t. per 8 oz of water) and then drink it with a small amount of sugar and light cream (not milk). It is sublime! Even after steeping for an hour it is never bitter and the chocolte overtones have made it easier for me to give up one of my favorite foods. Although my version looks more like coffee, and purists will argue that I'm not experiencing the true nature of the tea, I adore it.

Disappointing (Sunday, October 04, 2009)
Reviewer: Marilyn

Much much much too mild for our taste - mild to the point of lacking flavor. With so many good teas to choose from, don't pick this one.

Wonderful (Sunday, September 20, 2009)
Reviewer: Jacqueline

This must be the first truly high quality tea that I have tried, because it is in a class by itself. No other black tea that I've had can compare. Incredibly smooth, never bitter, and with a beautiful rich aroma. Worth the extra money.

WOW (Monday, September 07, 2009)
Reviewer: Anthony

im not sure if this is the best tea i ever had,but when i think of the best tea i ever had , this is one of the first that i would think about, its so captivating, it takes you through various stages, first the leaf smell then when brewing, then the calm smooth flavour, very nice tea.everybody should try this.thanks.

OMG! This is so good! (Wednesday, July 15, 2009)
Reviewer: Barb Healy

For the past year I have been buying my Golden Monkey from another source but tried this one when I decided to switch to an organic. This tea is SO good -- MILES BETTER than the non-organic that I had been buying. Even after steeping for over an hour, it's still delicious with no bitterness.

A subtle black tea? yes (Sunday, July 12, 2009)

Worth every penny! (Friday, May 22, 2009)

This black tea is a little more expensive than some, but you definitely get what you pay for! Normally I like cream and sugar in my black teas, but this one is absolutely delicious on its own!

The aroma of both leaf and cup is so fine... the taste is good, too, mind; very smooth. But it is the aroma that really wins me over.

This is an incredible tea. I really didn't know what to expect when I got my sample, but this is a mind blowing black tea. I was a Darjeeling, Assam and Lapsang freak, but this tea will have to be added to the list, someplace near the top. Thank you!
