Assam ReserveUser reviewsAverage customer review:
What a great tea with a little mint on ice!
It's good but I like the bohea a lot better.
The Assam Reserve is everything I wanted in an Assam tea: full-bodied, aromatic and with a woodsy aftertaste. Very delicious, either hot or iced! Highly recommended!
GOOD IN THE M,MORNING MULTIPLE STEEPS AND SMOOTH
There is a reason this tea won the number one hot tea award.
It was OK for me...I prefer the Puerh.
I received a sample of this with one of my orders, I was eager to try a pure Indian Assam tea since I had not experienced it on its own before. I was pleasantly surprised with it and would certainly recommend it to anyone that enjoys a fine black tea and will definitely consider getting it again. The easiest way to describe the flavor is to think of English Breakfast tea. The distinctive mellow, sweet flavor of that blend comes from this tea is the prominent flavor in that blend. The sweetness is just a bit more pronounced when it is in it's pure form like this, and the overall tea is a bit lighter in characteristic as well. It's an easy tea to have hot or cold and lends itself well to blending with other teas (I've tried with the Rosy Earl Grey and Organic Rooibos so far, both great). Definitely not one to overlook.
Assam tea is truly one of my favorite teas. I love the body and the mouth feel it leaves. Always a "go to" tea for me.
This tea has very smooth and mild taste, I prefer to drink this tea in the middle of the day.
I received this as one of my samples, now i have to order it for my stock. Once in a while, I want milk with my tea. I picked this as a sample because it stated stands well with milk. My first cup was without milk, and my 2nd cup was with milk. I can drink it either way, but with milk it was a smooth cup of tea.
Really a nice tea. Clear flavor.
I ordered this for my husband, but found it to be very much to my liking.
I bought this as a sample along with their Keemun and Ceylon OP. My goal was to discover the unique properties of each one so that I could identify them within blends. I recommend doing the same to discover the basis for so many blends. I immediately recognized the scent of the brewed cup from other blends. It's sharp and the taste has a kick. As the cup cools it starts to get a nice sweetness to it. The second steep was even sweeter. I would look to other more experienced Assam drinkers for a more accurate star rating since this is my only experience with straight-up Assam.
This tea is very smooth and mild in taste. I really enjoy it every now and then. I prefer something a little stronger for every day.
But the scent is malty and Guinness-like…a bit biscuity. The color is a deep, very reddish amber. The taste is all malt, slightly sweet and bready—but very astringent and drying in the mouth.
I don't drink alot of black teas but I found this one very nice.
I received a sample with my Ceylon OP1 order so in comparing the two, the Assam is similar in flavor but a bit richer and bolder. This Assam is similar to the Ceylon in it's smoothness. I would need to have more cups to really have an opinion but still a good cup.
I love this tea. I can't get enough of the smooth, full flavor. I drink it black, cream only or cream and sugar. Thanks for bringing it to the US.
Assam Reserve is my favorite tea. It is a smooth, full-bodied tea that tastes great on its own, meaning no milk or sugar is required. At work, I usually sip this tea all morning long and its taste holds up as it cools down to room temperature. I’m looking forward to trying this iced.
I really enjoyed this tea! It's malty, like a Ceylon, but this one is lighter and I think more flavorful than other malty teas. It was slightly astringent on the first steep. But any steeping after that was heavenly. I really liked how mellow and malty this tea is. As most malty teas it takes milk and a sweetener well. I prefer drinking it straight. If you like black tea you can not go wrong this this amazing Assam tea! It's easy to identify this as an award winning tea.
This is an outstanding tea, strong robust and yet mild. Truly it is a winner.
I got this tea as a free sample and let me say it is a fantastic tea. I am pretty picky when it comes to an Assam tea, but this one was such a pleasant surprise. The aroma is gorgeous and the taste was naturally sweet. It had a very nice aftertaste. My only complaint (which isn't really a complaint) is that one heaping teaspoon isn't usually dark enough for me. I have to use a little bit more to get my desired strength, but hey what's new? Overall this is a wonderful tea and as I have just ran out of my sample, I am ordering more.
I can definitely see why this World Tea Champion. It is so smooth. Simply wonderful!
Very weak flavor with an unpleasant aroma. We would definitely not order this again. Very little character.
Outstanding smooth and rich with no bitter aftertaste.
This is a very smooth tea leaves no after taste. Wonderful taste!
I have been labeled a tea snob by my friends because of how picky I am about my tea. I can only imagine what others say about me. Assam Harmutty is the best tea I've tasted so far. It is strong, but not bitter. Try it after brewing it in a Yixing teapot and you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. It is that good! |
