Bai Hao Xian Cha Silver Needle OrganicUser reviewsAverage customer review:
This is a very special treat. I recommend this to everyone who loves tea!
kinda weak in flavor
Wonderful light aroma, color and flavor. I have found that the more delicate the tea, the more vital it is to follow brewing instructions.
Got a sample of this one, and couldn't have been happier. I am normally not a white tea drinker because I have typically found the flavor to be too minimal. But this one surprised me. While the flavor is lighter, it is quite complex. It has a fantastic natural sweetness, and also smooth earthy grassy notes that round it out, characteristic of very good green teas. I really couldn't get enough of it. It is a pricier tea, but I certainly think you get every bit of value out of it. Certainly a front runner if you're looking for something special or a fine example of a white tea.
I drink this tea several times a week. It is a reliable tea that when brewed with care is has a clean smooth taste. This is a tea that needs a bit of TLC when brewed, as if you make the water too hot it will turn bitter. The health benefits also keep me coming back time and again. So overall, if you brew it as instructed, it is a lovely white tea with many healing benefits.
This silver needle has a very light aroma and flavor. The mouth feel is soft, the flavor is mild and pleasantly woodsy, and the taste lingers on the tongue quite pleasantly. It's a comforting tea, very light. If you like your white teas mild, you'll enjoy this. I personally found this tea a bit too light for my tastes, I prefer a silver needle that has a bit more of piney "bite" to it.
This stuff is delicious. I especially love it after dinner, It has a hint of sweetness that is great as a stand-alone dessert.
the best white tea i have ever had. Way better than the bai mu dan. light and sweet. perfect after meals.
The tea looks beautiful. I prefer a white tea with a little more flavor.
Wow! Just received my White Tea today, Thursday, 1.21.'10 and it is, "off the hook." IMMACULATE!!! I am new to the Anti-Oxidant world as I am finally taking an interest in my comprehensive well-being, read on the Internet about White Teas, decided to give it a whirl. When I read that is is the BEST Anti-Oxidant product to have, I immediately went to Wikipedia and source the 'Grade A' stuff. This Website popped up... go figure. This company received the Online order and ASAP it was on its way. Now, I am basking under the pleasantries of this phenomenal White Tea experience. I thank this Website's professionals for having afforded me the opportunity to expeditiously secure their product and fervently enjoy rejuvenating myself. I will most certainly order from this company again; an unforgettable process from Online to directly outside my door. Nice!
This tea was pleasing to the nose as well as the throat. Good tasting. I would buy it again.
this is the first white tea i tried and i was very refreshing and light tasting with no bitterness, i tell all my people about it. thanks.
I love this white tea! So much that I posted a review on Steepster for it, and I want everyone here to know how much I love it as well. Very light and crisp, but naturally sweet. This tea is relaxing and reminds me of a forest after a late spring frost. I can only appreciate that comparison having grown up around the woods. I love Samovar’s Osmanthus Silver Needle which gives me similar thoughts, but this white tea is lovely beyond words. Something very sweet, subtle, and even nutty about this one.
I'm more of a Green Tea drinker, but this is a good white tea.
Combines a light, nutty astringency with a delicate sweetness in a way that makes me extremely happy when I drink it. And it's hardy: looses little on a second steeping, which makes the price of the Bai Hao Silver Needle easier to bear. To me, it's best with not-quite-boiled water; if you don't catch the water before a boil, let it cool a bit. The fragrance in the bag is fabulous, and it brews beautifully in a glass cup. My search for the "perfect green" stopped when I found this gem. Midway into second 8 oz bag, now seriously addicted.
I found this white tea delicate yet flavorful. The perfect cup to calm the nerves after a busy day.
This is an excellent Silver Needle. From the moment I opened the package, I was hit with a fresh, soft, sweet aroma that reminded me of butterscotch or chestnut. The flavor does not disappoint - I was able to steep this tea seven times, and I was delighted with the sweet, nutty, sometimes floral flavor nuances that were unlocked by each steeping! A wonderful, soothing tea.
I am a big fan of white tea so I was looking forward to taste the sample which I got when I ordered my travel tea mug. The woody tone with a smooth taste lingered in my mouth as I sipped my tea. I will be ordering more of this tea soon. Do try it, I am sure you will you will like it, too.
my last order came with a sample of this, and it was great! I will be adding it to my next order, that's certain
We really like this tea. We go with silver needle, jasmine, darjeeling, or earl gray depending on mood. THIS is our top choice for silver needle.
The only problem with this astonishing teasetc.com bao hai silver needle tea is a small one: it causes you to lose interest in any other tea. The delicate buds yield a big, rich chestnutty and astringent flavor that sustains itself into a satisfying aftertaste. And they're not frail: they are nearly as good on a second steeping as on the first. One can leave the buds in the glass or cup till the tea gets cold, and it's never bitter, even hours later. Nor is it ever boring, which is the best thing about the tea. Each cup, including those with second steepings, is a afresh, new treat. Seriously.
If you are used to strong black teas that hit your palate hard, then you will be pleasantly surprised by this tea. It's like getting the pure tea flavor without any bitterness (if brewed properly). This is the perfect morning brew if your stomach is a little off upon waking (like mine). There is not enough caffeine in this to keep you up at night, so I also often drink it with or after dinner. Try making iced tea with this--it's incredibly refreshing. I understand from several sources that white silver needle tea has the most powerful combination of antioxidants, polyphenols and catechins. Google these 3 important nutrients and you'll understand why I drink this tea almost every day.
I thought this tea was totally awesome.
My parents just bought me this kind of tea, the taste for the tea is not that perfect as compare to darjeeling white tea but worth the try. |
