Smooth and aromatic, this Chinese oolong is considered a “green" oolong or Pouchong tea because it is less oxidized (about 20%).

The dried, almost pellet like green leaves begin to unfurl revealing an exquisite, pale yellow liquor with a natural floral note and crisp finish.

Nice Oolong (Wednesday, April 17, 2013)
Reviewer: Donna

I always like to try new Oolongs and didn't realize I had this one in my pantry. I saw it was out of stock, so I was going to order it. I tried it this morning. I found it to be medium bodied with a nice floral note. I am a huge fan of floral Oolongs and I prefer Huang Gin Jui and Tung Ting over this one as they are lighter on the palate.

Green Dragon Oolong (Wednesday, November 04, 2009)

This is an exceptional tea. It is nothing like oolong teas from the mainland. If you want a mild tea, then you can brew this and use the leaves another two times on a regular brewing schedule, but if you want to wow your guests, as we have been able to do with this tea, you place 10g/liter of tea in a container (1.5g for 1500ml)and brew it in the microwave at night, then brew it again the same way...seven minutes each time, and this will get you rave reviews. It's a little different way to do it, but it works. Do not try this in a microwave that's over 1,200 watts. Works on high for 1500 to 1750ml. Bill Weaver

Love this tea! My husband isn't able to get to china anymore to buy me tea so I was thrilled to find this one. Excellent flavor.

Rather Intense Fruitiness (Sunday, March 22, 2009)
Reviewer: Jason

I'm not an expert in green tea, but I haven't had one yet that is as fruity as one of these green Oolongs. And Green Dragon has a good sharp sweet scent and flavor rich enough to be strong even if you don't use as much tea leaves per cup.

Strong floral (Monday, October 06, 2008)
Reviewer: Daniel

Full disclosure: I received a sample of this with my last order, so this review is based on having had only the one cup of tea. What struck me right away was the strong floral note -- I wondered to myself if there were jasmine flowers mixed in with the tea leaves. I was surprised to read here that the floral note is natural. I'm not at all a fan of floral teas, so this tea isn't really for me.

This wasn't my favourite oolong tea. It has a mild flavour. If you like a milder tea this might be a good choice.

Superb Tea (Saturday, December 08, 2007)

This has been my all time favorite of the Oolong Teas. It has a subtle Jasmine flavor to it, it's smooth and so delicous. I buy other Oolongs but always have a bag of Green Dragon.

The Grand Flavor & Preparation (Monday, June 18, 2007)

This tea is wonderful, and a rich and deeply satisfying tea, if prepared a little differently than by normal brewing methods. We use 12.5 grams of tea for 1250ml of water, heat this volume with the leaves in the water in a microwave for 8 minutes. Allow to cool overnight, replace the lost water in the morning, and reheat this tea for another 8 minutes, filter and serve. This will deliver a deeper flavor, and change the stimulation factor, but we have had rave reviews on this method, and it is a constant request at our house all the time. Happy tea time. WCW
