1000 Cranes White Tea Blend

1000 Cranes White Tea Blend

The Story...

Nathan, who has worked with us for the past 4 years, decided to ask Nicole to marry him. It's not that he asked but HOW he asked that makes this a "story."

The happy couple was spending the afternoon at one of their favorite places, the Morikami Museum in Delray Beach. There is a Japanese saying that if you give a 1000 cranes and/or receive a 1000 cranes you are granted one wish. It was that day that Nathan presented Nicole a rather large box to open. Inside the box there were 999 white origami cranes that Nathan had laboriously folded 1 by 1. At the bottom was a larger, gold crane number 1000. In that gold crane was the ring which was followed by the proposal. How romantic!

Shortly thereafter, Nathan and Nicole put together a list of ingredients with special meaning and the 1000 Crane Blend was born.

Cranes White - great (Wednesday, July 21, 2010)
Reviewer: Dave

One of my favorite white teas because it has the light taste of a good white tea but you can taste the subtle tastes of the other ingredients.

Extremely enjoyable! (Monday, June 14, 2010)

This tea is extremely pleasant both in appearance and aroma. The tea, strawberries, roses and coconut all come through as a special blend.

Summertime Strawberries (Monday, May 31, 2010)
Reviewer: Amanda

The flavoring is light and blends well with the tea, creating a clean and refreshing taste. I get hints of fresh strawberries more than any of the other flavorings but the tea is stronger or at least equal to the strawberry summerness. It’s surprisingly nice.

Delicious! (Thursday, May 27, 2010)

This is the first loose-leaf white tea that I've tried, it was amazing! The tea is nicely fruity without being overpowering, very light and fresh tasting. Brewed really nicely, would be excellent iced as well.

A Tea with a Bit of Romance (Friday, May 07, 2010)
Reviewer: Stephanie

The scent is super tangy and sweet—very “pink”. The tea itself is a pinkish amber and very “downy” because of the feathery white leaves. I’m tasting mostly rose petals and a little bit of strawberry. The coconut appears only as a hint of sweetness. The aftertaste reminds me a little of Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries® cereal!

Simply Amazing! (Sunday, March 21, 2010)

What a delightful surprise to the taste buds! The strawberry, rose and coconut blend perfectly together with none of the flavors over powering the others.

This tea is wonderful- so light and delicious! I really enjoyed the beautiful smell that never got bitter. Great overall tea!

Yummy and Enjoyable (Monday, February 08, 2010)

The scent and flavor is very good. I love the combination of strawberry, coconut and rose. This seems like such a romantic and sweet little tea--so Valentine's-like! But, if this is over-steeped, it tends to get bitter.

Overall good tea (Sunday, February 07, 2010)

This is one of my favorite white teas. I can't wait to order more. It has a zingy citrus taste to it. Has floral notes that aren't as noticeable as the citrus but they compliment each other well. I can see this as a tea that I would drink often in the summer time. It would make a great iced tea as well.

russian officemate loved it (Wednesday, February 03, 2010)

I'm not a fan of white tea, or fruit tea, so my officemate requested this for herself and absolutely loved it.

Good Tea (Tuesday, January 12, 2010)
Reviewer: Sheri

It's a little strong for a white tea, but good nonetheless.. It does have a kick, if that is what you're looking for.

Mellow, sweet tea! (Sunday, December 13, 2009)
Reviewer: Elizabeth

Fantastic flavor! Perfect for a cozy evening by the fire. What makes this tea fabulous is that there are many flavor notes, but that none of them overpowers the others. You can taste the sweet, tangy strawberry, the coconut shreds, and a hint of rose, but the bai mu dan shines through. Brew it in a glass pot or the Teas Etc. clear mug - this tea is pretty to watch as it brews!
